Why use an Insurance Agent/Broker?

I have reflected on this question time and time again...why use an insurance

agent/broker? Anyone can take a look at health insurance plans available to themselves or others and see what it is that a broker sees. Also, with the advancement of technology, we have information at our fingertips but does this make us experts in every field of study? No, it does not. In fact, it often creates a false sense of security. "When they think they are learned, they think they are wise." But wisdom does not come from reading a few lines on a computer screen or several books for that matter. Wisdom is gained from experiences, true study, and application.

As a licensed insurance agent, I have had thousands of experiences with clients and not a single one of them has been the same. Everyone is different and everyone's health is different. We all have unique lives and unique needs. I find it to be of upmost importance to meet with individuals to get to know them so that I can place them on the right plan that will cover their specific needs. Anyone can enroll in a health plan and anyone can assist with the enrollment process but not anyone can make sure you are placed on the right plan at the right time. Each plan has different doctor networks, different coverages, different prescription drugs, different pricing for those drugs and doctors, etc. Some focus heavily on dental coverage or vision coverage or hearing coverage and it is important to understand the differences.

As a licensed agent I am trained yearly to make sure I understand these differences. I participate in continuing education courses, specific trainings by each carrier I represent, and pass an annual fraud, waste, and abuse course. Then, I use this information that I have studied to assist individuals with finding the right plan. In addition, I participate in ride alongs to make sure that I am providing accurate information. These are only a few of the things that I do to make sure I am qualified to assist someone with their health insurance.

Unfortunately, some insurance agents are more interested in putting you on "a plan" than putting you on the right plan. Some insurance agents push a specific product because they have to meet quotas. A great way to make sure this does not happen is by visiting www.rjclarity.com and receiving a free consultation from one of our licensed agents. Your agent will gladly sit down with you to discuss your current situation and to ensure your plan is working for you. If you are using an insurance agent/broker perhaps the question to ask is am I using the right insurance agent/broker? RJ Clarity will provide the right one for you.
